Selecting tables Link to this post

When I try to select Trace Table I get the message: “Cannot see tables list”.
What needs to be done in order to be able to view/select the Tables List?

Please note that the ‘tables list’ is intended for the trace tables and not the database tables.
This means we are looking for tables that were created by SQL Profiler using the “Save as table” option.
To show up in the list, the table should contain at least the following columns: Duration, Reads, Writes, CPU, TextData.
The more typical scenario is to use trace files and not tables. You can also mix the 2 trace formats.
