The launching of DBSophic's new Trace Analyzer tool for Microsoft SQL server turned into a great success as hundreds of users turned to the company's Web site to download the free software.

The product also attracted  the professional media's attention. Among others, the powerful Japanese blog Gigazine covered the product, drawing much attention from local users. The Osaka-based news site was ranked as one of the Top 25 Blogs by TIME.com and as one of the world's 50 most powerful blogs by Guardian UK. It was also received coverage at popular blogs, Softpedia, Code Beach and other sources. The Trace Analyzer can be downloaded from several download sites on top of the company's website, such as Softpedia, Simtel and Download.com.

The successful launch of the Trace Analyzer tool led to increased interest in DBSophic's flagship software solution Qure, which reduces DBA's time spent looking for the causes of performance problems and helps organizations to continuously improve their databases' performance.

The new Trace Analyzer allows users to instantly find out what is slowing down their databases so they can easily pinpoint which batches or specific parameter value sets consume the most resources.

DBSophic's Trace Analyzer helps DBAs quickly analyze multiple trace files and trace tables. The user receives, within a few minutes, all the trace events analyzed, de-parameterized, grouped and clearly arranged in a tree format. The results display the total resource consumption and enable to drill down to specific parameter value sets.
